Hyde Park Haven

Rooted in the spirit of Austins historic Hyde Park neighborhood, this new construction home was born from the thoughtful reconsideration of a worn 1950s bungalow whose time had simply passed. In its place, the new home feels timeless and deeply personal — blending the warmth of traditional architecture with the ease of modern family living. Inspired by the grandeur of New York Brownstones, axial views, quiet symmetry, and layered architectural details give the home a sense of calm & beauty.

Family heirlooms, including an upright piano and cherished butcher block table, became touchstones within the design, while thoughtful details — arched openings, a sculptural stair handrail, and a hidden storage room tucked beneath the stairs — create moments of delight and discovery. Even the most practical spaces were treated with care, from the light-filled pantry framed by reeded glass doors to the softly layered materials that make the home feel collected over time. The result is a home that feels gracious, grounded, and wholly lived in from the very beginning.
