PROJECT BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES

S and D live in Crestview with their two children and love the neighborhood. Their current house has areas that do not function well. The primary bath is too small. The laundry is in a closet. The kitchen circulation is too tight. The public space needs to accommodate more gathering - larger space. The ceilings are all 8'; the clients would like some higher ceilings in the public space. Both clients work from home sometimes. The program includes a primary suite addition with a small office, enlarge and improve the living and kitchen areas, add a laundry, and replace cast iron plumbing lines.

DESIGN GOALS BY PRIORITY:

• 600-700 sf addition

• Primary suite: bedroom (space for a chair desired), bath with two sinks, tub and shower, toilet in a separate space, and closet (can be shared or separate)

• Kitchen & Living need more space and better flow

• Laundry room needs to also have the dog crate

• Modest office (or desk in transition space, but not in bedroom)
