PROJECT BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES

J and C built their home about a decade ago with local architect, Tim Cuppett. At the time they prioritized thoughtful design over scale, resulting in 2000 sf 3/2. The home has worked well for them to date, but as their kids grow and they enter a new phase of life that requires more space, they are looking at ways to gain the space they need while staying in their current location. They purchased the house next door 3 years ago and would like to look at ways to expand their home.

DESIGN GOALS BY PRIORITY

• Attached or detached addition (1,000 sf minimum)

• Program should include a playroom, gym, 2 car garage, modest office, and an additional bedroom.

• Improve existing entry flow and provide a drop zone.

• Site design to include potential pool location.

• New Conditioned Area: 810 sf

• New Unconditioned Area: (garage, covered porches): 961 sf
